Getting Online with Confidence: Join Our Digital Drop-In Sessions!
Technology can sometimes feel overwhelming, but no one should have to navigate the digital world alone. Whether you’re trying to navigate a new smartphone, set up an email account, or simply want to learn more about digital literacy courses in the UK, our Digital Drop-In sessions are here to help.
What is a Digital Drop-In? 🧐
Our sessions are relaxed, friendly, and—most importantly—completely free. We provide one-to-one support tailored to your specific needs. There’s no need to sign up for a formal basic IT skills course (free); you can simply walk in with your device and your questions.
Our amazing volunteers work at your pace, ensuring you feel confident using technology for everyday tasks. If you’ve been looking for volunteering in Wandsworth, these sessions are also a heart-warming way for tech-savvy locals to give back to their community!

More Than Just Skills: Hardware Support 🛠️
We know that digital access requires two things: skills and a working device. While our drop-ins focus on free digital skills training in the UK, we also work hard to provide laptops for charity to those who need them most.
If you have old devices at home, don’t just search for “recycle computers near me.” Consider donating them to us! As a local computer recycling charity, we ensure that recycling electrical items leads directly to helping a neighbor get online. When you donate laptops in the UK through our program, you are directly contributing to the digital health of our borough.
Recapping a Fantastic Week at the King’s Volunteering Fair!
Last week, the Power to Connect team had the pleasure of attending the Volunteer Fair hosted by King’s Volunteering. It was an inspiring day spent connecting with students, staff, and fellow local organizations.
Witnessing the incredible work being done by other charities across London was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. We are absolutely thrilled to welcome everyone who signed up to support our mission of digital inclusion. To our new recruits: we are so grateful to have you on board!
Could You Be Our Next Digital Champion?
While our team is growing, the demand for free digital skills training in the UK is higher than ever. We are still actively looking for Digital Champions to help residents across the borough navigate the online world with confidence.
If you have a few hours to spare and want to make a tangible difference in your community, we would love to hear from you. We are particularly looking for support at:
- 📍 Battersea Library Drop-in – every other Monday, 10am – 2pm
- 📍 Battersea Park Library Drop-in – Tuesdays, 2pm – 4pm
- 📍 Wandsworth Town Library Drop-in – Thursdays, 10am – 2pm
- 📍 Tooting Library Drop-in – Fridays, 10am – 2pm
Volunteering in Wandsworth is a rewarding way to give back. You don’t need to be a coding expert—just patient, friendly, and comfortable with basic IT skills. Whether you’re helping someone set up an email or explaining how to recycle electrical items safely, your time helps close the digital divide.
More Ways to Support Power to Connect
Not able to volunteer your time? You can still help us foster digital literacy in South London by donating hardware.
We are a leading computer recycling charity dedicated to getting tech into the hands of those who need it most. If you are looking to recycle computers near me or want to donate laptops (UK), your old devices can become a lifeline for a local family.
By providing laptops for charity, you aren’t just clearing clutter—you’re providing the essential tools required for someone to attend our digital skills courses and thrive in a digital age.
