Welcome to Digital Inclusion Week (6–10 October)
This October, Wandsworth’s libraries and community partners are hosting a week of free events designed to boost digital confidence, strengthen community connections and open up access for everyone.
From friendly digital drop-ins to hands-on workshops, these sessions are ideal for anyone looking to learn, share or support others. Whether you’re just starting out or want to help a friend or neighbour get online, there’s something for you.
Each session contributes to our wider mission of promoting digital inclusion — giving residents the tools, knowledge and confidence to use technology safely and effectively. Through local volunteering, digital skills courses and community recycling initiatives such as laptop donations, together we can make digital access available to all.

What You Can Expect
Most sessions are informal and free to join — no booking required. Simply bring your device or use one provided. Digital Champions will be available to help with everyday online activities such as creating accounts, filling out forms or navigating websites.
These sessions are part of a wider effort to offer free digital skills training across Wandsworth, supporting people who want to build confidence, improve employability or connect with family and friends online.
Why It Matters
Every session, volunteer and donated device plays a part in closing the digital gap. By recycling unused laptops, sharing your time or helping someone learn, you contribute to a stronger, more connected community. The Power to Connect initiative continues to expand access to digital literacy courses and basic IT skills training across the borough.
