Miles for Milestones: Supporting Nick’s Brighton Marathon Run for Power to Connect
The Brighton Marathon is one of the UK’s most iconic races, and this year, on Sunday, 12th April 2026, our very own Nick will be at the start line in Preston Park! 🏃♂️
Nick is bravely taking on the whopping 26.2-mile course along the coast to support Power to Connect in our mission to bridge the digital divide. Training for a marathon is a massive commitment, but Nick is motivated by a simple goal: ensuring that every resident in Wandsworth has the tools they need to thrive in a digital world.
Why Nick is Running
In a world that lives online, being without a device means being left behind. Your support for Nick’s fundraiser directly fuels digital inclusion projects across our borough. The funds raised will go toward:
- Refurbishing Devices: Turning unused tech into high-quality laptops and tablets.
- Essential Accessories: Providing the chargers and bags needed to make tech portable and functional.
- Delivery & Support: Getting technology into the hands of families, schools, and community groups who would otherwise go without.
By supporting Nick, you aren’t just cheering on a runner; you are helping someone access digital skills courses and apply for life-changing opportunities.
Beyond the Finish Line: Building Digital Skills
Once we deliver a device, the journey is just beginning. We work closely with Wandsworth Library, Battersea Library, and Southfields Library to ensure that recipients know where to find a basic IT skills course free of charge.
Our goal is to foster long-term digital literacy courses UK residents can rely on. Whether it’s free digital skills training UK programs or localised workshops, your donations help us provide the “hardware” part of that educational puzzle.
