We’re Hiring: Join Our Team as Digital Skills and Learning Manager!
At Power to Connect, we believe that access to the digital world isn’t a luxury – it’s an absolute necessity. Since we launched in 2020, our mission has been to tackle the digital divide head-on. By connecting residents with the data, devices, and confidence they need, we’ve already supported more than 7,000 individuals and families across Wandsworth.
But there is still so much work to be done to ensure true digital inclusion for everyone in our community. That’s why we are looking for a passionate, community-focused Digital Skills and Learning Manager to join us and lead our education and training initiatives.
If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can drive real social impact and help residents build the confidence to navigate everything from basic online forms to emerging technologies like AI, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a unique, hybrid part-time role (0.6 FTE / 3 days per week) that perfectly balances strategy and hands-on community engagement. Working closely with our CEO, you will:
- Lead and shape our localized community programmes, developing accessible learning materials and progression pathways for adult learners.
- Line manage our two incredible Digital Tutors and support our dedicated team of volunteers who provide vital volunteering opportunities across the borough.
- Deliver around four hours of teaching each week, keeping you directly connected to the residents we serve.
- Build strong partnerships with local organizations, libraries, and stakeholders to expand our reach and strengthen local progression routes.
Whether you are hosting a session at Battersea Library, coordinating outreach near Tooting Library, or collaborating with partners at Roehampton Library, Southfields Library, or Wandsworth Library, you will be the driving force behind our local presence.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced coordinator who understands the deep barriers faced by underserved communities. You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- A proven track record in designing and delivering digital skills courses or digital literacy courses uk-wide.
- Experience managing or supporting staff, tutors, or volunteers (ideal if you’ve managed volunteering Wandsworthinitiatives or similar community networks).
- Strong relationship-building skills to help us foster new charity partnerships and connect with local stakeholders.
- Confidence utilizing digital tools and a forward-thinking mindset to help learners safely navigate modern tech, including AI.
