Free Digital Skills and Tech Support in Wandsworth
At Power to Connect, we believe that everyone deserves to feel confident and safe in our increasingly online world. This week, from Monday 23 March to Friday 27 March, we are hosting a range of community events designed to foster digital inclusion across the borough. Whether you are looking for structured digital skills courses or just a friendly face to help with a tech query, our programme has something for everyone. These sessions are made possible by our supporters and those who donate laptops UK wide, ensuring we can provide hardware and training to those who need it most.
Battersea Library
On Monday 23 March, we invite you to join us at Battersea library from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for our first Digital Drop-in of the week. These sessions are designed to be informal and welcoming, providing a space where you can ask questions about your phone, tablet, or laptop in a relaxed setting.
Roehampton Library
For those based near Roehampton, our team will be at Roehampton Library on Monday afternoon, 23 March, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This Digital Drop-in is a great opportunity to start your journey toward better tech confidence and discover how local support can help you stay connected.
Battersea Park Library
On Tuesday 24 March, we are hosting a Digital Drop-in at Battersea Park Library from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you have been looking for free digital skills training UK based and easily accessible, these afternoon sessions provide practical, hands-on help for residents of all ages.
Southfields Library
We continue our week at Southfields library on Wednesday 25 March. Join our friendly volunteers between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm for a Digital Drop-in. Whether it is setting up an email or learning how to use video calls, we are here to provide the digital literacy courses UK learners need to thrive.
Wandsworth Town Library
On Thursday 26 March, our team will be at Wandsworth Town library from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This morning Digital Drop-in is open to everyone, regardless of their current ability. We pride ourselves on making technology accessible and easy to understand for all visitors.
Tooting Library
Our final library session of the week takes place at Tooting Library on Friday 27 March from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Come along to chat with our volunteers and get the support you need to feel more comfortable using your digital devices.
Partner Venues
Beyond our library sessions, we offer specialized workshops and courses at various community hubs. At the VCS Hub in Wandsworth Town Hall, we are running our Essential Digital Skills Course 1 on Wednesday 25 March from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. We follow this with Course 2 on Thursday 26 March from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. These are perfect if you are looking for a basic it skills course free of charge that covers the fundamentals in a structured way.
On Friday 27 March, we are at the Yvonne Carr Centre from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for our Family Online Safety Course. This session is designed to help parents and carers understand the digital world their children inhabit and provide tips for staying safe online.
We encourage everyone in our community to take advantage of these free resources. If you would like to support our mission, there are many ways to get involved. You can volunteer in Wandsworth and support residents to gain vital IT skills by sharing your time and knowledge. Another way to help is to donate laptops, tablets, or phones to reduce e-waste and support learning for local families.
