Empower Your Community: Become a Digital Champion in Battersea
Becoming a Digital Champion is about more than just sharing tech tips – it’s about empowering your neighbours and closing the digital divide right here in Southwest London. We are currently looking for enthusiastic community volunteers to join our mission of fostering digital inclusion for all.
Make a Difference at Battersea Park Library
We have an immediate need for friendly faces to support our digital drop-in sessions at Battersea Park Library.
- When: Tuesdays, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- Where: Battersea Park Library, SW11 4NF
As a volunteer, you will provide one-to-one support to residents, helping them master basic IT skills and navigate the web with confidence. Whether it’s helping someone set up an email account or showing them how to access Wandsworth Council services, your time makes a massive impact.
What Does a Digital Champion Do?
You don’t need an advanced IT degree to join us! If you have a good grasp of everyday technology and a passion for volunteering in Wandsworth, you’re exactly who we’re looking for. You will:
- Offer Personalised Assistance: Help residents navigate smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Build Confidence: Guide learners through digital literacy courses in the UK and help them unlock new opportunities.
- Promote Independence: Show others how to access free digital skills training in the UK and essential online health or financial services.
Why Join Power to Connect?
By joining our team, you aren’t just teaching tech; you’re helping us act as a computer recycling charity by ensuring the refurbished devices we distribute are used to their full potential. You’ll be part of a network that supports local hubs like Wandsworth Library, Southfields Library, Battersea Park Library and beyond.
